Betting regulations within football are taken extremely seriously and can carry significant professional and reputational consequences where rules are breached.
Football scouts and analysts regularly work within environments involving confidential information, player recruitment discussions, tactical analysis, club operations, and internal football processes. As a result, maintaining integrity and avoiding conflicts of interest are essential professional responsibilities within the industry.
UPFSA expects all members to conduct themselves professionally and ethically while operating within football environments. Members must avoid any behaviour that may compromise the integrity of football, create conflicts of interest, or damage professional trust between scouts, clubs, players, analysts, and organisations.
The Union strictly opposes corruption, unethical recruitment activity, manipulation of football processes, and any conduct that may bring football or the profession into disrepute. Members must not engage in illegal betting activities connected to football or use confidential football information irresponsibly.
